Joe is a graduate of Gloucester Catholic High School and Rider (Ewing) University. He has been the long-time coach of the Brooklawn American Legion team leading it to the National Championship in 1992. Under Barth"s coaching, Brooklawn has won 18 state championships and 11 regional titles. Barth was named American Legion Coach of the Year in 1992 and USA American Legion Coach of the Year in 2000.

He also assisted South Jersey Hall of Famer Al Radano in 1980 when Gloucester Catholic H.S. was ranked first in the nation with a 25-0 record.Barth is owner of the Hit Doctor Academy / Cherry Hill and the All-American Showcase producing over a 100 major league players along with many youngsters going on to play college baseball.

Barth has been very successful in the development of AAU Arsenal baseball in South Jersey with several of his teams reaching and winning National Championships.
