In an away game Sunday, June 6th, the Stovers won 7-1 over the Phillies.....Stovers pitcher Luis Rodriguez went the distance allowing only 7 hits, along with 13 strikeouts---Doubles by Joe Curtis, Jorge Gonzalez and Rick Santarone were the big hits for the Stovers---Eric Mehler had 2 hits and Bill Wagner added 3 singles to lead the Hot Stovers to victory---Stovers are now tied for second place in the division with the Phillies and Mariners behind the leading Washington Senators---Stovers now 4-4 in the standings.
